Please be aware that on Thursday, July 29, 2010 traffic delays will be expected at the intersection of US 80/FM 548. During the hours of 9:00AM – 1:00PM, traffic signalization crews will be working on both sides of the intersection to activate a temporary signal system and to remove the existing signals. During this time, traffic will be directed through the intersection with the use of City of Forney police officers. The intersection and traffic should be returned to its current operating condition no later than 1:00 PM on the same day.

There will be a lane closure on the East Bound Frontage Road of US80 approximately 1/2 mile East of FM740 and it will extend all the way to FM548. The lane closure will be for the outside lane of traffic only and it will start at 9:00am and will last until 3:30pm. This closure is for the installation of concrete traffic barriers which will remain in place throughout the first phase of construction.
