A municipal transportation reinvestment zone (“TRZ”) is a contiguous geographic area designated by a city for the purpose of promoting a transportation project which will facilitate the movement of traffic, promote public safety, and enhance the city's ability to sponsor a transportation project which will receive pass-through funding from the Texas Department of Transportation under Section 222.104 of the Transportation Code.
The City of Forney City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on November 18, 2008 in the Council Meeting Room at Forney City Hall, 101 East Main Street, Forney, Texas to receive comments from interested individuals regarding the creation of the TRZ and the benefits of the TRZ to the City of Forney and to property located in the TRZ. All interested citizens are invited to attend this public hearing and to speak for or against the designation of the TRZ and its boundaries.
